Opening march and programme at Nordic 4H Camp in Nurmes

The opening march of the Nordic 4H camp was a loud welcome for everyone at the camp. The cheerful shouts of the groups let everybody within the camp area know that the campers have finally arrived and they are ready to learn to move and to move to learn. Photos: Tytti Levänen

From behalf of Nurmes where the camp takes place the mayor Asko Saatsi welcomed the campers at Pielis-Arena.

Nurmeksen kaupunginjohtaja Asko SaatsiHe encouraged participants to “Enjoy your time here. Respect each other. Behave. Learn.” He also reminded how fortunate we are to have a hobby like 4H as it teaches us right attitude to life and respect to other people. He also declared the camp officially open.

The evening program was hosted by Satu Järveläinen and Vladislav Khayrudinov who also take care of the camp radio. They thanked the sound technician Teemu Reinikainen for his work by asking the audience to take a selfie with him.

Later the birthday heroes of the day were called to the stage and hosts asked people to sing happy birthday song to them in their own languages. The result was something interesting though you couldn’t understand a word of it.
